Is Global Warming REALLY That Bad?
Environmental Disaster or Misunderstood Land Development Opportunity?
AOL had a science feature yesterday once again bashing global warming. Just one more example of the media focusing on the negative side of things. They had a whole list of things you can do, or rather stop doing, to slow down global warming.
Buy a hybrid vehicle: As soon as they come out with one I’ll switch over the Bentley
Take public transportation: Have you seen the people who ride the bus?
Walk or bike places: If it were warmer I would!
Turn down the heat: See above
Turn up the a/c: Does the phrase ‘Don’t sweat the petty stuff, Don’t pet the sweaty stuff’ mean anything to you?
Stop using aerosol based products: This one is fine with me but you're taking the can of super industrial strength Aquanet away from the drag queen who’s just teased his wig(What am I doing? When she’s done beating you with her purse, I’ll call 911.)
At the end of the article they do briefly mention that it's probably too late to avoid a polar ice collapse even everyone stops doing all the bad stuff right now. Argh! I gave up my Aquanet for nothing?!? They make it sound like a disaster or something, but really the folks from Dubai can just throw some sand down and develop more of those resort islands out there.
Early marketing suggestions to improve Global Warming‘s image include:

Cruise To the Polar Ice Caps, Special Limited Time Offer!
Putting the Green back in Greenland!
Less Ice In the Ocean, More Fish in the Sea!
Why Go To The Beach, When You Can Bring the Beach To You!
Personally, after coming back to a wintery NY in February I wouldn’t mind some global warming. Who’s with me? So what you live in Boise, break out the Redi-Whip and let’s get this party started! I’ll bring the Pina-coladas! What’s that you say? The bears on the beach need someone to rub Coppertone on them? Well, I wouldn’t want anyone to say I’m not a team player…
