Ever notice how your dreams change during anxious times of your life? They usually come more rapidly but are harder to remember and yet you can feel the emotional stain of them after you wake up.
Usually, this makes me crazy because I’m always trying to evaluate why I had a specific dream. I believe that the subconscious uses dreams to work through problems, but I also see how it can warn us by picking-up on daily cues that we would ordinarily overlook.
I always have a hard time shaking the emotional feeling after waking from these kinds of dreams especially if it’s foreboding. I’m not talking about nightmares where you wake up with your heart pounding, just those bad dreams that leave you with an icky feeling.
For some reason this week I keep having dreams with my involving my family but not really about them. They don’t really make sense in their context so I’m thinking it’s more about the situations and emotions during the dreams.
