“Omg, it’s Spring!”
That’s what I said to my best friend this morning. Now,I know it’s not really Spring (not for another week) and we may even get snow yet (lalala not listening), but it’s sixty-two degrees here! That’s close enough to Spring for me!
I think this warrants some more Spring-cleaning. The porch and the living room could use a sprucing. Maybe rummage through the basement and clean out some stuff.
Stuff, there’s surely a lot of it around. If you looked up shop-a-holic in the dictionary, you’d probably see a picture of my Mom. If she even thought she wanted something she’d buy it and she trained me to do the same.
For many years, I was a shopping fiend. The good part is that I had great taste and I always bought stuff on sale. The bad part was that I still spent a lot of money on stuff I didn’t need and I cluttered up my life.
You’d think after a couple interstate moves I’d be home free and for the most part, I am. I still have a bit of junk, but nothing one good yard sale couldn’t take care of. Where’d the rest go? The trash, a couple yard sales and to my best friend, who’s also a junk fiend.
Mom on the other hand has far too much junk. My parents have lived in the same house for twenty-five years, that’s a long time to acquire, and it’s a big house.
I used the need it, love it, does it make you money formula to help clear out my junk perhaps I can get Mom to try the same thing. Although, I’d better hurry while Spring fever is still in the air, she doesn’t like to get rid of stuff.
