After my “In The Closet Again” article the other day, I’ve been thinking about why I write and why I’m here. I decided to make a list. I like lists, but it was quite long. In the end, I decided it really comes down to these three reasons:

To share my stories

Sometimes funny, sometimes sad, often crazy, these stories are me, if sharing them can make you laugh, cry or give you hope or comfort I share them gladly.

To examine

Writing helps me to think things through. Somehow, once everything is right there in front of you in print it’s easier to deal with. It’s kind of like the way saying something aloud makes it seem more real.

To connect

I’ll admit it I like attention, who doesn’t? My main goal though is to find other people like me, both to prove that I’m not {that} crazy and that there are other normal average everyday people out there.

I know this is one of those ‘Why do you do what you do’ questions that seems really inane, but they don’t have to be if you think about it and answer honestly. Sometimes you have to answer stupid questions to get smart answers.
